Mazda are well known for rolling out special editions throughout the history of the MX-5 and in recent years introduced the 鈥淪pirit Racing鈥� variant, with the 鈥淢azda Spirit Racing MX-5 RS鈥� concept being launched at last January鈥檚 2024 Tokyo Auto Salon.
At this year鈥檚 2025 annual show, Mazda announced two production variants of the concept called 鈥渢he "Mazda Spirit Racing (MSR) Roadster" and the "Mazda Spirit Racing Roadster 12R."
Both model variants are sure to turn heads and boast many of the same upgrades, but there is one big difference that is causing quite a stir as one model is going where no factory MX-5 has gone before, 200bhp!
A Nod to Mazda鈥檚 Racing Heritage
The Spirit Racing MX-5 pays homage to Mazda鈥檚 rich motorsport history.
